Issue Management Overview

RockSolid contains a full Issue Management system for the DBA team to use to monitor, assign and resolve issues raised by RockSolid. This issue management system includes the ability to define severities, escalation paths, multiple DBA teams and DBA projects. This system also automates user and team communications via issue updates.


Service Request Management

RockSolid captures detailed data from SQL Server. This includes long running queries, data file virtual file stats, internal memory allocations, backup & job histories and of course all configuration and changes.

Change Control

While RockSolid has the capability to make changes in your environment, RockSolid cannot make any changes without first gaining change approval. These can be manually assigned on a case by case basis or rules can be set up for automatic change approval.

Project Management

Issues created by RockSolid may have different resolution expectations. For example a backup failure may require immediate resolution whereas a patching requirement may need more planning and approvals before resolution. RockSolid allows issues to be assigned to projects for ease of management and filtering.
