Watch the Policy Video
RockSolid’s policy framework allows operational management standards to be defined. These standards include management tasks such as backups, index maintenance, validation, statistics management, data file management etc.
Policy Hierarchy
RockSolid captures detailed data from SQL Server. This includes long running queries, data file virtual file stats, internal memory allocations, backup & job histories and of course all configuration and changes.
Policy Routing
Database policy can be applied through the use of Routing rules. This ensures the correct policy is automatically applied when databases are created in the future and as database characteristics change over time the correct policies are implemented.
Policy Examples
RockSolid has many different policy settings which control all aspects of SQL Server monitoring, management and issue analysis. This topic contains examples of RockSolid policies and explanations of how these policies are used for database management.
